GabAPENTIN MADE ME FILL VERY DIZZINE AND I DID NOT FILL GOOD THE NEXT MORNING ,i AM AFFRAID IT MAY DO HARM TO MY BODY.HAVING BACK PAIN WITH PAIN RUNING DOWN MY LEGG ..I CHOOSE TO STOP TAKINT THE MEDICINE , WHAT DO YOUSUGGEST SHOULD I TAKE THE MEDICINE

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have back pain radiating to legs and dizziness post intake of Gabapentin . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acute back injury , whiplash , sciatica , osteoarthritis or fibromyalgia. The symptoms can also occur due to side effects of gabapentin. I would suggest you consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may CT scan or MRI along with physical examination . Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory , muscle relaxant nerve supplement, anti emetic drug along with physical therapy. For now apply warm compresses to back and neck and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Doctor may also recommend surgery in case of disc problem. Also avoid bending forward.
