What Causes Back Pain While Having Gastroenteritis?
I have had gastroenteritis for 6 days yesterday and today I feel a lot better but have an ache in my back I was constipated so I took two dolcalax last night and they have worked I no longer feel extremely bloated I just have an achey back why is this I have taken paracetamol and have been having hot baths to relive the pain I m just wondering is the back pain caused by coming to the end of the virus
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be muscular pain but any electrolytes loss can be one of the causes due to gastroenteritis recently which can trigger muscle spasms.
However, maybe altogether unrelated. If pain persists, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be used along with muscle relaxants like tizanidine or orphenidine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
