What Causes Back Spasms On The Right Side?

I just had an endoscopy for massive sudden heart burn going on a month now. Cancer = no. Hiatal hernia = no. I was prescribed sucralfate 3 times per day. I have back spasms in the middle right of my back and heartburn still. Any possibility of a gallbladder issue?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Burning abdomen could be related to:

- gastritis, duodenitis with or without ulcer
- bile drainage system issues
- pancreas problems as pancreatitis or else

Back spasm on right side can be related to ulcer, calculus or gravels in the urinary system or else. It is suggested to undertake a CT scan of the abdomen & pelvis for further management guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
