Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 45 and had pain in my back for about a month, in the middle right side. When it went away I had pain in my legs and one foot. One toe swelled for one day and went away. I then had pain in one shin, my hands and fingers. One finger swelled and went away. Now I am getting pains here and there every day. I am also more tired than usual. What could it be?
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to arthritis.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing some tests:
- Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation.
- ANA, ANCA antibodies.
- Rheumatoid factor levels.
- Blood electrolytes and vitamin D plasma levels for a possible deficiency.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
