Hello!
Thank you for trusting HCM!
Soon after a
miscarriage, the
uterus starts contracting, so that it can go back to its original size and shape. This process causes the connecting tissues in the back to tighten, which results in some amount of pain. The severity of the pain varies from one woman to the other. The duration for which the pain lasts may also differ, depending upon the woman’s age and overall health.
Treatment:
1) Get adequate amount of sleep and rest during the day, to strengthen the body and expedite the recovery process.
2) Perform a few back-strengthening exercises that can get rid of the tension in the lower back area.
3) Soothe the muscles in the back, by soaking in a hot bathtub at least once, or even twice a day.
4) Place a big pad filled with hot water or a
heating pad on the lower back area. Alternating between hot and
cold therapy is also quite beneficial.
If symptoms still persist, please consult your doctor. He will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care
