What Causes Backache While Suffering From An Ear Infection?

My Granddaughter who is 2 has had an ear infection and has been on 2 different antibiotics, last one of Augmentin. Went to the Dr. on Wed. and there was still fluid in her ear but not infected. Returning when done with meds. She has had a runny nose, and taking Benadryl at night. She has not been eating much but is a picky eater, but is now complaining of her back hurting. Could this be associated with the meds or the ear infection? Lauri

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I would advise you to do MRI of LS spine.

Also she can take syrup paracetamol twice daily.

Back hurting is not associated with medicines.
