What Causes Bacterial Vaginosis Recurrence With Redness And Swelling?

I had BV approx 2.5 weeks ago..... Cleocin for 3 days, had protected sex w my bf 4 days after medicine ...... it's back. Can I be allergic to condoms and would this cause it to come back. I was also very red a swollen when we were done, maybe it wasn't gone yet. I have never had bv before and I am in my 30's, any answers will help! Thank you
