What Causes Bad Odour To Urine And Genitals?

I am a 44 year old female, 5 6 , 245lbs. I am in a relationship with a man from Nepal. Every couple of months I will notice a strong smell like maple syrup on his skin. It is especially strong in his urine and on his genitals. Within a day or two my urine will take on the same smell as well as the smell coming from my vaginal area. I was wondering if this is a bacterial infection of some sort that we pass to each other or a result of eating certain foods. Before this relationship I never encountered this odor.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have soft lump on inner butt cheek . Well bad smell fron urine or genitals is however often associated with infectious or noninfectious causes of vaginitis or vulval disease . Infectious cause like bacterial vaginosis , trichomoniasis or vulval ulceration . Noninfectious causes like excessive perspiration , psychiatric conditions oe side effect of some medicine . I would suggest you to consult gynecologist for proper examination . Doctor may order pH, vaginal and/or vulval swabs for microbiology and sometimes skin biopsy and treat it accordingly . For now maintain personal hygiene , keep the site dry and clean and wash it with clean and dry foam lotion .
