General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Rotten egg-like smell to urine can be present after eating certain food like citrus food, vinegar or asparagus .../ Urine infection... common in pregnancy cause it.
You need to check your eatables & avoid them for a few days ... if the smell still present get urine checked(routine microscopic & culture & sensitivity if needful).
Consult your treating gynecologist for a suitable antibiotic course. Drink a lot of water. Keep good genital hygiene.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale,
