What Causes Bad Odoured Burps Along With Dry Heaves And Diarrhea?

My husband is 47, overweight and has been experiencing rotten egg burps, dry heaves and now black tarry water stools, I have discounted it to stress, it usually passes within a day, however this time it is worse, do you think we should seek medical attention?

Black tarry water stools are indicative of upper gastrointestinal bleeding and is the probable reason behind rotten egg burps . Such possible bleeding issues are commonly related with diverse conditions like gastric ulcer disease , mallory weiss tear , esophageal varices , gastritis . I would suggest you to get upper endoscopy done straight away for definitive diagnosis after consulting with your Gastroenterologist .
