What Causes Bad Taste And Sticky Mouth, Nasal Congestion And Lightheaded Feeling?

This is the third day with super sensitivity to smells, especially perfumes. Plus horrible bad taste in my mouth and sticky mouth, nasal congestion that comes and goes, and weird feeling in throat. Also a bit light-headed and dehydrated possibly. No fever and sinuses don t seem sore. Usually I take 650 of Tylenol PM but am also frightened to do this and generally frightened. I am 79 years old, live alone, can t drive at night. Will I be all right until morning?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a cold or flu. I suggest using Tylenol to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to drink liquids and rest. You probably will be alright until the morning.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
