What Causes Bad Taste In Mouth Inspite Of Taking Flonase?

Hello, I am experiencing a bad taste in my throat throughout the day. I am very self conscious that if I can smell it, my breath is being affected as I speak. I have had sinus drainage in the pass and my doctor has me on Flonase but the taste is still there. What can I do for that please. My email address is YYYY@YYYY . Thank you

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain Flonase is a steroid and there is a possibility that bad taste in mouth can be due to post nasal drip secondary to infection in sinuses..
While flonase can itself be a cause of bad taste in mouth..
So I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis of the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..
For infection in sinuses you will be advised to take antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkillers, saline nasal irrigation, steroid nasal sprays..
You can also gargle with flavoured mouthwash and chew sugar free flavoured chewing gum to relieve bad smell..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
