Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a horrible taste in my mouth for 2 days I've brushed ( I do twice a day) and I haven't eaten anything out of the ordinary, it's a metallic sort of taste that started at the very back of my tongue, and now its on the sides of my tongue, I'd almost describe it as a poisonous taste, I know that sounds weird but it's what I would imagine poison to taste like
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your bad taste in mouth can be due to infection in the salivary gland leading to discharge of infectious fluid known as Pus while can also be due to oral and dental infections..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can be diagnostic..
As of now clean the tongue using a tongue cleaner.. Chew flavoured sugarfree chewing gums and tart candies.. Gargle with flavoured antimicrobial mouthwash.. Drink plenty of water.. Avoid high aroma foods like onion and garlic in excess..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
