What Causes Balancing Issues After A Double Vision Surgery?

I have a balance problem. Problems with my ears have been ruled out. When I am sitting down, I have no problem. I had an operation for double vision twice (strabismus) and it seems to be fixed. I was in a car accident 1/30/14 and since then my balance has been slowly deteriorating. Have spent hours with PT & OT, but all they have done is have me work on the symptoms not get to the root of the matter. Do you have any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

What is your age? Do you have diabetes or hypertension? As per your history, they ruled out ENT problems. Eye problem is corrected. Still you are having problems. We have to do a CT or an MRI of the brain to look for any neurological brain problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. C. Elanchezhian, General & Family Physician
