What Causes Balancing Problem With Limp Arms And Legs While Walking?
my arms feel limp . also, my walking is very challenging. After walking a short distance, my feet start to slow and it feels like they can t keep up with my body. I have fallen a few times and am now using a cane to help my balance. The walking issue has been going on for a couple of weeks, the limp arms just started today.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
If the limp is with severe pain,it can be due to bone weakness or joints / muscular problem. But if it's just limp without pain, it there is muscular weakness. You start staggering while a walk. t's deIfinitely a neurogenic cause (eg: periferal neuropathy like in Diabetes OR some spinal or disc problem pressing nerve roots supplying muscles). Consult a physician for primary evaluation followed by expert advise as per need (Neurophysician / Diabetologist).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
