What Causes Benign Lumps In Breast?

I had my first mammogram in April of this year. Was called back for a second mammogram and then was sent for an ultrasound. It was determined that it was likely benign. Today my husband found a lump(same breast). I've also been having some breast pain in that area but had blown it off. My husband is concerned but it hasn't been that long since the screening was done. Should I be concerned about this?

It would have helped if you had mentioned your age and whether there is any family history of breast or ovarian cancer. Anyways, for ascertaining the nature of any breast lump we do what is known as triple test. This includes clinical examination by an oncologist, mammogram and a needle test from the lump (FNAC). You have gotten done 2 out of the 3, so i suggest you get the 3rd test as well (FNAC). That will ascertain whether the lump is benign or is there any doubt about it having cancer.
