What Causes Black Bruise On Thigh?

I have a black bruise on my thigh. It will stay there for a few days like a normal bruise, but soon as it is almost gone away another one will appear somewhere else on the same thigh. Just a few inches away from the old bruise. They feel a little tender when you touch them but other then than that they don't hurt.
