What Causes Black Colored Discharge From Ears And Perforated Ear Drum?

i went and saw and ENT after having two ear infections, and he came to the conclusion it looked like i had swimmers ear, and a perforated ear drum. its been two week and still i have a yellowish drainage and when i use a cotton swab the remove the yellowish mucus like drainage from the outside of my ear, i know its not recommended to use cotton swabs but i don t push it much. i occasionally get a tan gooey glob come out with some black specks on it, it almost like snot from blowing ones nose. I use to have dark brown ear wax in that ear, but not any more. what could this gooey glob

Hello

The black spots are due to a fungal infection , which is common in swimmers ear. Please do not use cotton swabs and meet your ent doctor once again , he will clean out the debris and pus and prescribe medications and ear drops for the infection.
