What Causes Black Pus Drainage From A Abscess?

Good day.My friend came to work this morning saying that she had what looked like an absess on her leg and the previous night it popped but the pus that came out was completely black. She thought that maybe it was old blood but it was all black. Now she s in alot of pain but doesn t want to go to a dr.

Fresh blood is bright red, but old changes colour. She needs a doctor visit. She definitely needs doctor help besides antibiotics and painkillers.
