What Causes Black Spot Behind Eye And Blurred Vision?

My wife had blurred vision for a minute or so went to the optician who found a black spot behind eye ,the optician is unsure what it is and sent the results off to a specialist and we are awaitng the results , i am worried sick it is something seriuos as it was not there during her last visit

opinion of black spot is non specific. no sure it is in retina or else where. Refraction should have been done for blurred vision. You have not given her age or history of other disease.
