Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have some dark spots on my chin and I used to much ambi fade cream, which has the 2% hydroquinone. Last Saturday my face was so stiff, and of course I realized I burnt it. I could not even open my mouth last week, I have been using neosporin and washing with water, it still is stiff. How long does it take to heal?
Thanks for your query. Well this kind of problem occur with long use hydroquinine cream . Hydroquinone is very effective initially but but if it is use for very long time it can cause damage to skin.
I would suggest you to immediately stop using this cream instead start using kijovit cream twice a day which contain kojic acid which is very safe for long term use take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl , , wash your face with mild soap twice a day and also start using broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 15.
If condition persist for more then week or get worse then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Docotr may prescribe antibiotics , antiallergic drugs and recommend chemical peeling or dermabrassion for dark spot.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
