What Causes Black Spots In Stool And A Bit Of Blood?
hi, i just saw some black spots in my stool and a bit of blood. i thought maybe it was my period starting but had my period it last week. the black spots are like black seeds. i didn t eat anything with seeds last night. I have been having severe stomach pain since aug 2014. i had an endoscopy last month and showed that i had no ulcer or anything, my stomach was fine. blood test result showed leukopenia so i was referred to a hematologist. he said low white blood cell count is normal in africans and prescribed duspatalin retard 200mg. all this while i did not have any black spots in my stool until today
Black stools are normal if you are supplementing yourself with iron but if not then it indicates internal bleeding. If you are not consuming oral iron then consult a gastroenterologist and get UGI endoscopy and colonoscopy done for further evaluation and treatment.
