hi
in the condition called congestive heart failure, there is a possibility of swelling of the feet, face & whole body
that is due to the cardiac pathology with relative involvement of the lung.
he should be on his regular cardiac medications, especially diuretics to decrease the fluid load on the body, mainly the heart.
this discolouration will be due to fluid or excessive venous drainage of that area.
once the condition settles the swelling will also reduce.
not to worry
all the best, take care
