What Causes Black Toenails?

I HAVE TWO TOE NAILS THAT ARE LITTLE DARK IN THE CENTER, I AM A 64 YEAR OLD JUVDIABETIC AND REALLY WATCH MY FEET TONIGHT I TOOK OFF NAIL POLISHON ONEAND WAS SHOCKED TO SEE IT WAS DARK ON THE NAIL AND HAD A DARK GREE LINE A CROSS IT. iS IT GANG GREEN OR THE OTHER TOE NAIL ISSUE? fUNGUS?

hi.fungal infections are very common in diabetic patients because the immunity is compromised in such patients.if only the surface of nail is involved and the infection is not very deep use only topical antifungals.but if more than one nail is involved and the infection is deep also start oral antifungals.
take tab terbinafine 250mg 1od for 3 weeks.
n terbinafine cream bd for one month I hope it 'll solve ur prob thanks.
