Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have never had a problem with blood pressure nor anything along those lines. Yesterday, I just about blacked out completely (almost threw up, became weak especially in my legs to the point where I could not hold myself up) and my husband grabbed me right before I fell as I was able to explain to him everything I was experiencing as it was happening.and as everything was becoming darker. It lasted about 5 min and took a little longer to regain strength and for the nauseousness to go away. Throughout the rest of the day, I didn't feel 100% myself and ended up with a light more frontal heading, but persisted into and throbbing heading taking over the right side of my head and am unable to sleep it off. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I understand your concern. There could be a lot of reasons why this happened. Ff you stand up from a sitting position it is very likely orthostatic hypotension. This means that your body was not able to fight against the gravity and your brain was left with not enoug blood supply. The other reason is hypertension. Hypertensu+ion can sometimes develop for years without any symptom. My suggestion is to visit your GP to check your blood pressure. If this condition appears again visit your GP as soon as possible.
I hope this answer was helpful to you.
