What Causes Blackouts Along With Severe Anxiety?

My partner is havin near blackouts it seems to just I see him jolt and he says he feels like he nearly blacket out but didn t and it s usually followed by an anxiety attack and he complains of his veins being prominent on his hands but after the jolt they disappear and it s scaring him what could cause this and how can I help him?
