What Causes Blackouts While Standing Or Laying Down?

Hi my names Victoria, I am 17 years old and I have been experiencing blackouts everytime I stand up from either sitting or laying down. It happens pretty much every time I stand and everything goes completely black and I can't see anything my head feels really heavy and I feel weak. Another issue is that I have been getting heart pulpitations for the past few years I got it check about 2 years ago and I had a halter moniter put on me and the results came back and they said it was normal. But it has been happening alot latley and it skips beats. Is all this normal?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having sudden blackouts when you sudden stand up from laying down position.
This is because of hypotension. Since you have also mentioned of symptoms like palpitations and skip beats this requires evaluation to rule out causes for hypotension and treatment accordingly.
Hence I advice you to consult your physician to for examination and treatment accordingly.
