What Causes Bleach Smell For Vaginal Discharge With Stain?

I am 25 and have noticed my discharge has a slight bleachy smell and can stain my underwear, its not really sore or itchy but me and my partner have tended to get thrush at times.. Is there something I can do to stop this or is it typical of any infection?
