What Causes Bleeding After 4 Days Of Unprotected Sex?

I took Plan B morning after pill with 72 hours of having unprotected sex. Four days later, I stated having blood discharge and also rashes allover my body . I am worried with this blood discharge because I had the intercourse a day after my period. Could it be that I am menstruating again?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Taking pill to avoid pregnancy, are high dose hormones which prevent the pregnancy. They cause hormonal imbalance and thus bleeding, which is expected after taking the pill. Advice is to wait for the periods to get regular, then to prevent pregnancy do not take emergency contraceptive pill unless extremely necessary. Better is to use regular contraception to avoid pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
