What Causes Bleeding After Intercourse While Taking Viorele Birth Control?
Hello,I am taking Viorele as a birth control and have been on birth control for several years now. After I have sex and my boyfriend finishes inside me I go to the bathroom and find that I just started to bleed. It isn t a spotting little blood it is enough to wear a tampon the next couple days. For example we had sex sunday and I am still bleeding today, three days later. I am at the middle of my birth control pack and this has been happening more than once. Any ideas on what this could be from?
Hello, Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. Irregular bleeding is a feature commonly observed while using hormone contraception, during the initial couple of months. However, post coital bleeding is not seen. This can be due to erosions of the cervix, polyps of the uterus and cervix, infections in the cervix and vagina etc. You need to get a proper clinical evaluation by a specialist for further management. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
