Hi. I m on the pill and have been for a few years now. I missed a few pills 2 weeks ago then came on, I thought this was normal, continued my pill as normal (only had a few days left) came off my period after Being off the pill for a while days. 2 days later, I begin to bleed again. Only happens for a day I think nothing of it I just thought it was the end of my period. But now even every time I wipe I get this dirty black stuff on the tissue. Kind of looks like dirt/mud. It s black. I ve never seen it before, I usually get the brown discharge before/after my period and it s not that. It s like crumbled up blood, I haven t got a clue how to describe it. It doesn t seem to occur only when I wipe. Thanks
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.Missing oral contraceptive pills can lead to hormonal disturbances in the body and hence irregular spotting and bleeding. However, irregular spotting can also be due to local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including hormonal profile and pap smear and get properly treated. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
