What Causes Bleeding After Taking The Lap?

i did thelap on 26/01 and i had an infection aftr dat & went bck 2 my dr and he gave me a prescribtion of antibiotic. i've been bleeding the whole month of feb with severe pains. but now everything is ok. was that bleeding a menstruation or what ? hw wl my cycle be affected ? i want a bay a soon as possible
