What Causes Bleeding And Pain After Placing Dental Crown?
I have a double crown on the lower left side of my mouth, the 2nd and 3rd teeth from the back. For a few days now, I have not been able to eat on that side because it is too painful. I use a threader to floss in between the double crown. Yesterday, there was a lot of blood that came from that area when flossing. Today, not as much blood but still painful. The gums are very sensitive in that area as well. They appear a little grayish. What could this be?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that the crowns are impinging over the gums as well as there is infection in the gums caused due improper cleaning in the gum crevices causing infection and sensitivity of his.. You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and in case if required he can replace the crowns or if not required cleaning the gums using Scaling and advising antibiotics and painkillers will relieve.. As of now you can gargle with antimicrobial mouthwash, do warm saline gargles, application of desensitizing paste and antimicrobial Oral paste calling help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
