What Causes Bleeding And Stomach Pain During Pregnancy?

HI, I am 14 weeks pregnant. I went to the er 10 days ago for bleeding and contraction like pain. The er dr. said he felt i had a sunchorionic (spelling) bleed, though the er. doctor and radiologist could not say for sure. I followed up with a new ob who just agreed with the er. doctor. No one has actually examined my belly. I am still passing old blood (about like a period) and still have pain. About an inch about my belly button is very sore to the touch and in general. Also, it feels like I am passing gas through my vagina. I am conserned this is still going on and want to make sure everything is ok for my baby and me. sunca

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Of course, this is something to be concerned about in pregnancy. You should consult your obstetrician for the follow up of baby heartbeat and uterine contractions.

You need constant monitoring and may be hospitalisation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
