an ent cauterized a vein on the roof of my mouth about 6 weeks ago. about a week ago, it started bleeding again. I returned to the ent specialist and he used silver nitrate to stop the bleeding. it didn t work. I m scheduled to see him in a couple of days and has told me that he will probably take me to surgery to laser it. what is causing this?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The bleeding can be because of the trauma leading to damage to the blood vessels or it can be secondary to idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. So consult a general physician or a oral physician and get it evaluated. Before, going for any treatment, get your complete blood investigations including CT, BT, PT and INR. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, later it can be treated accordingly. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
