What Causes Bleeding Between Periods And Breast Tenderness Throughout Periods?

I am 46 years old. I had my period 2 and a half weeks ago. I sometimes get breast tenderness after but this time I got it during the entire time and it continued up till today. Today I have gotten my period again. This has never happened. I am always very regular..every 25-28 days. Thanks for your help.
