What Causes Bleeding Between Periods With Burning Abdominal Pain?

i am bleeding between periods, i am haveing a little burning pain across my lower abdomen more so when i lay down. my periods are normally right on schedual. They are usually a little thick, but this one is really watery but very heavey. it stopped completly today, then i went to go lay down to sleep and it started back up
