What Causes Bleeding During 17th Week Of Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 17 weeks pregnant and experienced bleeding yesterday so I rushed to hospital and my doctor advised for a scan and got to know that placenta is reaching up to INT os. No separation seen. Placenta maturity is 0 grade. And fetal position is cephalic. My worry is regarding the position of placenta . How serious is this issue for me and my baby. Please advise what has to be done apart from rest.

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Duphaston should be started which is basically a progesterone which is of Paramount importance in continuation of pregnancy.
It is routinely prescribed drug and is safe for both mother and baby.
Placenta previa is a serious thing and best is to rest as much as possible
Take care. In case you have other questions you can contact me directly on http://bit.ly/drmanishajain
