I am about 6 weeks pregnant. Saturday i started bleeding and have been since. I am not bleeding enough to fill a pad. Just about quarter size spots on my pantiliner. I am passing some clots but not huge ones. My doctor told me my hcg levels were not doubling but they are rising. he also confirmed that it was not an etopic pregnancy. What does this mean?
Bleeding/spotting in early pregnancy need immediate medical attention. Since you have bleeding and passed clots,it may indicate abortion. Only rising hcG doesn't confirm pregnancy. I suggest for immediate ultrasound of pelvis. It is important to see for G-sac size, shape, fetal pole. If there is fetal pole then you may need progesterone supplementation and beta hcG injection. It will support pregnancy. It is good that ectopic pregnancy is ruled out.
