Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So I'm having problems when I go poop. There's been blood that comes out, not every time I take a poop but it happens almost at least 3 to 8 times a month. It wasn't bad until recently when I saw blood on my stool, and the blood getting heavier. I don't know if it's just me wiping too hard, or what it might be? My stomach doesn't hurt, I'm not having diarreah, it doesn't hurt when I poop. I'm hoping you have answers for me since I have no insurance.
i. Rectal bleeding can vary from simple hemorrhoids to other medical condition such as anal fissure or polyp, proctitis, Crohn's disease, chronic constipation, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer thus check with a General Surgeon for physical examination [per rectum], and investigation [stool for occult blood] for correct diagnosis and management.
PS. Later on, the surgeon might refer you to get an opinion of a Gastroenterologist.
