What Causes Bleeding During Sleep?

i have a friend who is 25 and says she bleeds during her sleep once in awhile. A lot of blood. shes 110lbs and 5ft 10. she also mentioned that one time when she yelled at her boyfriend he had blood all over him. She said she had test ran once and they told her they didnt know what the problem was.??

I read your question carefully and I appreciate your concern about your friend.

However I am afraid it is difficult to give any opinion with so little data. You do not even mention where did the blood come out from (mouth, nose, genitals, anus, skin etc). Also there are so many causes for bleeding tendency for which many tests can be necessary, but you do not mention any of the tests which have been done.

So please talk to your friend again asking for more info and me or my colleagues will try to help whenever you come back.
