Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Five days ago I had two biopsies on two moles, shave biopsies I believe, one on my forehead and one on my chest. They gave me instructions to wash, apply Vaseline, and cover with new bandages once a day which I ve been doing. What I noticed about both of them was the holes that were left were filled with some type of white scab-like material. The one on my forehead eventually fell out during washing but the one on my chest is still stuck in there and it doesn t seem to be getting looser. My forehead wound seems to be healing quite nicely but my chest one seems to be healing slower from what I can tell. truth be told I tried to coax the chest one out using some hydrogen peroxide and a cotton swab but stopped because it started bleeding from the treatment. Should I be worried or is this normal?
Some bleeding is normal during recovering of the wound. You have touched it which may have caused the bleeding to happen. Follow doctor's instructions to disinfect it and it will recover itself. No need to worry about it.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
