Hi,

Tail bone fracture in childhood and nasal bleeding has no relation. Nasal bleeding after getting tension means there is increase in blood pressure. Increased blood pressure may cause rupture of the thin and least covered blood vessels. Thus, increased blood pressure can cause severe nosebleed if there is an arterial rupture. Once the blood pressure gets settled the bleeding stops automatically.

First of all, consult an ENT surgeon for clinical evaluation and examination so that the local cause can be found out. Consult a physician for cardiac check up and get started on an appropriate anti-hypertensive and if ht blood pressure is under control then epistaxis that is nose bleed may not occur. Cauterisation of the local blood vessel helps to avoid recurrence if the blood pressure is maintained well.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
