What Causes Bleeding In Ear Along With Reduced Level Of Hearing?

Hi, I wonder if someone could help me here. My mom, 62 yrs, was trying to clean wax in her left ear, using the ear bud. She found out her ear was bleeding and now she can't hear that good. She's been to the doctor this morning. But I just wanted to know if that is very dangerous and what do she needs to do in order to heal it quick. Thanks in advance. Umesh.

hello, thanks for ur query, it's quite common that injuring tympanic membrane during self removal of sex. precautions- do not allow water to enter while washing face, bathing, avoid cold causing food stuffs- ice cream, fridge water, cool drinks, curd. stop frequent cleaning with buds, sore throat and sinus infection should be treated. all d best. take care.
