What Causes Bleeding In Ear Post Injury?

I was playing volleyball and I dove for the ball and hit the side of my head (ear area) and I had some pain after that and I ve tried things to find out what happened like put water in my ear and as soon as I did that it started to hurt again and I stuck a Q-tip in it and saw blood on it. What could this be?

Hello
it is likely that you have damaged the skin of the ear canal due to the injury and this is causing the pain and bleeding.
Please dont use q tip or put water in the ear , you will only make matters worse!
Please meet your ent doctor as soon as possible as you need to be examined to assess the extent of injury
please dont delay
