What Causes Bleeding In The Ear After Removing Wax?

Our 7 year old daughter had wax removed from her ears today under anaesthetic. Her left ear was badly blocked. Tonight her ear started bleeding - dripping blood. She can hear well and is sleeping now. We can t contact the hospital until the morning is this unusual or of concern?

hello, thanks for your query, in some, bleeding occurs where wax impaction occurs in skin, while removal of wax, there is a chance of small ulcers , which bleeds slowly, presently need not to be worried, just plug the ears with cotton plug. I hope antibiotic and pain killers are going on. have a visit with your treating surgeon. hope I have answered your query. all the best. take care.
