What Causes Bleeding In The Ear While On Fluconazole?

I have had a severe earache, saw an MD yesterday & was subscribed Fluconazole, one per day for 7 days & and an appointment with ENT on Tuesday. This afternoon my ear began hurting even worse and after taking a Motrin & resting, I recovered from the worst of the pain, but my ear had quite a bit of blood pouring out of it. My ear is no longer bleeding, but I was concerned with the blood. Is this a common occurrence with ear infections? Thank you for your time. JoAnn

Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic
Earache with blood coming out may be symptom of boil in ear canal but why were you prescribed Fluconazole ?
Do you have history of diabetes or itching in ear if yes, then take it otherwise stop it .you may take antibiotics as Cefixime or Azithromycin plus painkiller as Aceclofenic for pain till you see ENT doctor.
Do not put anything in ear . If you have any further query then you can come back to HealthcareMagic
I will definitely help you .
