General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The blood from the mouth can be for various reasons, the most common one being congestion of liver secondary to heart failure and responsible for deficiency of clotting factors (which are produced by the liver), vitamin C deficiency, systemic sepsis and inflammatory mediators play a secondary role for the same.

However, if the precision is needed, post-mortem is the ultimate answer.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
