What Causes Bleeding In The Mouth?

I am having problems with the roof of my mouth bleeding when I eat food. I think I may be taking supplements that are thinning my blood. Can you tell me if I am taking too much blood thinner type medication. I am talking 80 mg of aspirin, one Krill oil tablet, 2 turmeric capsules, 1 cinnamon capsule, as well as 2 metformen tablets (500 mg each), 40mg benezapril, 12 mg of amlodapine, women s vitamin and 600 mg calcium per day.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bleeding in mouth which could be due to irritation due to any acidic or spicy food , dental infection and ulcer due to acidic reflux. Yes it could be due to intake of blood thinners, however Aspirin 80 mg is not an overdose, it is recommended one.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid hot , spicy and acidic food , consult oral pathologist for proper diagnosis. You should go for biopsy of lesion as well to find out exact cause and can start treatment as per that. Apply dologel on these ulcers. Drink plenty of fluids. You should apply desi ghee on these ulcers as well. Maintain oral hygiene. Do rinses with antiseptic mouthwash. Take multivitamin tablets as well. Doctor may refer you to gastroenterologist .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
