What Causes Bleeding Lesion On Forearm?

I have developed a bleeding lesion on my forearm. There is no itching or pain. It appeared suddenly earlier today and it already seems to be in remission and healing. I have had similar skin eruptions over the past few months and they would soon go away. They are Normally the size of a dime or quarter.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Bleeding lesions are the signs of low platelets or thrombocytopenia. You have not mentioned if there any bleeding manifestation or not. There may also be a chance of early bruising.
Its recommended to do a complete hemogram with platelets count, bleeding and cloting time and PT/INR test. These will help to diagnose any underlying bleeding disorders.
These kind of bleeding spots may be due to insect bites which is gradually remitted by time. Most of the cases there is associated pain.
Again local allergic reactions or side effects of medicine may manifest like this. Taking antihistamines or stoping the drug will help in this.
